Oh Lord Jesus Christ, to Your most Sacred Heart I confide this intention. Ester and I pray for Your blessings to grace our children, and their children’s children, to wholeheartedly support The MONTINOLA-CUMAGUN CARE FOUNDATION. Only look upon me, then do what Your love inspires. Let Your Sacred Heart decide. I count on You. I trust in You. I throw myself on Your mercy. Lord Jesus, You will not fail me.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, I have asked You for many favors, but I earnestly implore this one. Take it, place it in Your open Heart. Friday. September 25, 2026. Blessed Herman the Crippled. Hermann of Reichenau was a son of the Count of Altshausen, south of Germany. He was crippled by a paralytic disease from early childhood. He was born with a cleft palate and cerebral palsy and is said to have had spina bifida. As a result, he had great difficulty moving and could hardly speak. He was a cheerful, friendly child. It is said that the Blessed Virgin appeared to him and asked if he would rather have health or wisdom. He chose wisdom. At 7, he was placed in a Benedictine monastery by his parents, who could no longer look after him. He grew up in the Abbey of Reichenau, in Germany. He learned from the monks and developed a keen interest in both theology and the world around him. At 20, Hermann entered their order as a Benedictine monk, becoming literate in several languages; he wrote about history, mathematics, astronomy, and Christianity. As a historian, he wrote a detailed chronicle from the birth of Christ to his own present day. He was renowned as a religious poet and musical composer. When he went blind in later life, he began writing hymns. He was famous enough that he appears to have been credited with compositions by later writers; among the works traditionally attributed to him are the Salve Regina (“Hail Queen”), Veni Sancte Spiritus (“Come Holy Spirit”), and Alma Redemptoris Mater (“Nourishing Mother of the Redeemer”). Although Hermann’s body was a wreck, his spirit was full of Love for God. He might have been in a lot of pain (where he calls himself ‘banished children of Eve’ in the Hail Holy Queen Prayer), but he found a way to get closer to God, and he made the best use of his intelligence to contribute to the world. Blessed Herman advanced not only our understanding of the physical world, but furthered our devotion to Our Blessed Mother. His contributions to both science and faith remind us that regardless of appearance or apparent physical abilities, we each possess immense God-given gifts and talents! He was called “The Wonder of His Age.” (Maridol: My Morning Prayer)
Guardian Angel Novena – Day 3. Loving God, you are so good that you gave me a Guardian Angel to protect my body and my soul. Help me to know and follow my angel so that, with their guidance, I will be worthy of being in Heaven with You! My sweet Guardian Angel, you are my consoler every day of my life. Fortify me to be strong when life is hard, and my body and soul are hurting. Fortify me to have the strength to be the person that God is calling me to be. You are with me all the time, so you already know these are my intentions that I ask you to deliver to the Lord. (Mention your intentions)

You will not fail me. My guardian angel, my consoler, fortify me! Network with our children’s guardian angels to guide them to understand, not to be enabling siblings, that my donating all my assets to the foundation makes them donors too, because I am ceding my paternal and paraphernal conjugal rights to her for it to be part of the inheritance you will inherit from their mother’s assets, as she also will cede to me for me to contribute to contribte to the foundation that makes a family foundation to help those who have less in life to help themselves. Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime. (Proverb)
WORD Today. Luke 9:18-22. Once when Jesus was praying in solitude, and the disciples were with him, he asked them, “Who do the crowds say that I am?” They said in reply, “John the Baptist; others, Elijah; still others, ‘One of the ancient prophets has arisen.’” Then he said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”Peter said in reply, “The Christ of God.” He rebuked them and directed them not to tell this to anyone. He said, “The Son of Man must suffer greatly and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed and on the third day be raised.”
Reflection. The words of the Popes. “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” First, there is the response to Jesus’ question: the Nazarene is not a charlatan, but an upright man, one who has courage, who speaks well and says the right things, like other great prophets in the history of Israel. Yet to them he is only a man, and therefore, in times of danger, they abandon him and depart disappointed. This is true not only for non-believers but also for Christians, who end up living in a state of practical atheism. This is the world that has been entrusted to us, a world in which, as Pope Francis taught us so many times, we are called to bear witness to our joyful faith in Jesus the Saviour. Therefore, it is essential that we too repeat, with Peter: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God” (Mt 16:16). It is essential to do so as a Church brings the Good News (Pope Leo XIV, Homily, 9 May 2025)
O God, who in your kindness called your servant blessed Herman to the following of Christ, grant, we pray, through his intercession, that, denying ourselves, we may hold fast to you with all our heart. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
